Paper vs. Digital art?

Posted by HEKILLZALOT - February 17th, 2019

What are ur thoughts?

I prefer paper sketches/illustrations over digital, but digital is cheaper & faster.

Something about drawing on paper makes it feel nostalgic and requires more patience (depending on what I'm drawing). Also, arguably requires more skill too cuz there's less room for error on paper, whereas digital I can Ctrl+Z & undo mistakes whenever.

At the end of the day tho, digital does beat paper, but paper is a really good foundation to practice with.

i think both has his ups and downs. with digital you can do alot of special effects you can't create on paper but on paper it has something special and personal. it really depends what you find most comfortable. i like both and right now actuallt do both. i sketch it out on paper and then scan it and put it digitally. i sometimes don't do that but i prefer to do it that way. but that's my opinion how i like it the most. i also really like water coloring what you absolutly can't do digitally but it depends on your prefference what you want but i can see your a video game design student or something like that and unfortunally you have to do that digitally if you want to find a job in that but but you can always have a nice sketch book with all the random idea's you can have (thats also what i have for traveling and such)
